Behind the Ratings

Review Methodology

We score five areas using publicly available documents and the same criteria for every brand.

A score is useful only if you know what went into it. Below are the sources, criteria, and limits behind our ratings.

Our sources

  • Operator terms of service, sweepstakes rules and privacy policies.
  • Published promotions pages and in-lobby promotional copy visible before sign-up.
  • Operator help-center articles on redemptions, verification and responsible play.
  • Publicly reported information about operator history and ownership, where available.

What we don't claim

These are document-based reviews. We do not claim account testing, purchases, measured redemption times, or independent licensing verification. A number supplied by an operator is described as advertised.

The five axes and weights

I. Bonus Value — 25%

Separates GC from SC, favors free claims over purchase-linked grants, and considers whether maximum-value headlines make the offer hard to assess.

II. Payout Terms — 25%

Considers published processing estimates, minimums, playthrough, available methods, and the clarity of identity-check instructions.

III. Game Library — 20%

Looks at the range of game types, original or exclusive titles, and visible catalog updates.

IV. Support — 15%

Examines contact options, stated service hours, and how well help articles answer practical questions.

V. Trust & Safety — 15%

Considers the public track record, ownership information, clarity of restrictions, and available tools for limits or self-exclusion.

From sub-scores to rating

Each category receives a score from 1 to 5, in tenths. We apply the published weights and round the total to one decimal. Trust & Safety breaks a tie.
